Committee Guidelines
We can't wait to meet all the delegates at Mini MUN, and to make sure everyone enjoys their experience we would like to outline a couple rules:
1. We understand debates can get heated, but we ask that you remain respectful and poised during Moderated and Unmoderated Caucuses, as well as when addressing chairs, teachers, chaperones, or fellow delegates outside of committee
2. Please stay in areas where your chaperone, chairs, and other Mini MUN staff have cleared for you to enter. It is expected that during committee sessions all delegates will be in their conference rooms, and during lunch they will stay in the designated lunch zone. We are lucky that Lambert High School is letting us borrow their campus, and we should treat it with respect.
3. Mini MUN is a no-tech conference meaning that in committee sessions there will not be any use of: cell phones, I-pads, computers, laptops, or any other technological devices to research the topic, or type resolutions. All research must be done prior to the conference and the delegate must have a paper copy, and all resolutions will be written by hand. If you feel the need to use your phone please ask your chair first.
4. Have fun! Mini MUN should not be stressful or upsetting, but an opportunity for you to get to experience a sample of a college level conference, make new friends, and exercise your amazing delegate skills.
